The Technology Business Incubator of ICAR – NAARM, a-IDEA, in partnership with the Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar organised "Startup Samvaad" at the XIMB campus here on Saturday.
On the occasion, four agri-tech entrepreneurs pitched their ideas in front of the judges who were shortlisted from 10 entrepreneurial ideas from throughout India.
The ideas were judges by Mentor at Startups co-founder Dr Kamal Kishore Sharma, a-IDEA COO Vijay Nadiminti and XIMB Economics Professor Biswa Swarup Mishra and were provided with useful suggestions and recommendations.
Dr. Kamal Kishore Sharma spoke on the theme “Indian Startup Ecosystem: Drivers and Challenges”, YES Bank executive VP Sunil Kumar Gupta spoke on "Impact of Financial Literacy in Indian Agriculture" and Utkal Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ltd director general Rajen Padhi spoke on "Can India leverage Agri-Export for doubling farmers' income".
The participants were provided valuable insights on Agri-Tech entrepreneurship and were expected to boost the agriculture startup ecosystem in Odisha.
Among others, Lt Col Ashit Mahapatra and Barada Prasad Panigrahy were present.
