The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index inched up 0.07%, or 2.40 points, to 3,256.93, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, rose 0.47%, or 8.63 points, to 1830.84.climbed 0.16%, or 2.87 points, at 1,811.78.
