The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazaham has questioned the silence of Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi on the delay in setting up of the Cauvery Management Board (CMB) as mandated by the Supreme Court

AIADMK floor leader A. Anbalagan said the Lt. Governor, who spoke on the need to follow rules and regulations, had been silent on the constitution of CMB.

The Supreme Court in its final award had stressed the need to set up the CMB as an implementation mechanism. The Lt. Governor should write to the Union Government demanding early setting up of the CMB.

Criticising the Chief Minister on the issue, the AIADMK leader said Mr. Narayanasamy was not putting pressure on the Centre as Karnataka was ruled by the Congress and Assembly elections were due in that State.
