Pune: Cadet DJ Raman, Priya Singh, Ashish Puntambekar, Kavita Reddy won titles in the Half Marathons in their respective categories, while Cadet D Divedi and Himangi Godbole finished winners in the 10 km boys and girls category of the FSAI Life Half Marathon which took place in the city on Sunday.
Meanwhile Prashant Kakkar and Taru Mateti won the 10 km men and women senior event respectively.
DJ Raman finished with a timing of 1 hour, 18 minutes and 21 seconds to claim the men’s open title while Priya Singh clocked 2 hours, 18 minutes and 21 seconds to win the women’s
open event.
Ashish Puntambekar timed 1 hour, 41 minutes and 15 seconds to claim the men’s senior event while Kavita Reddy clocked 1 hour, 48 minutes and 12 seconds to win the women’s category.
The FSAI Half- Marathon (21 km) was flagged off from the Balewadi Sports Complex and then proceeded along Baner to Pune University to Aundh and back.
The FSAI Life Marathon was organized with a cause of promoting mass awareness about life safety.
The event was flagged of by of D.K. Shami fire advisor Govt. of India.
