The CBI on Sunday confronted Karti Chidambaram with former INX Media director Indrani Mukerjea, who is lodged in a Mumbai jail. Mr. Karti was taken to the Mumbai jail around 11.15 a.m. and questioned along with Ms. Mukerjea. After that, he was brought back to Delhi.
As alleged by the CBI, Ms. Mukerjea has told the agency that he had demanded and received $1 million to settle a possible probe against INX Media for violating FIPB conditions.
