Techie dies in bike accident

Pune: Niket Rajendra Patil, 22, a computer engineer working in Pune, died after the motorcycle he was riding skidded on Sunday morning on Vadgaon bridge on the Katraj-Dehu Road bypass.

The Sinhagad Road police said the accident happened around 6am when Patil was heading toward Narhe from Warje on his motorcycle. “When Patil reached the bridge, his motorcycle skidded after he lost his control over it,” an officer from Sinhagad Road police station said. Patil sustained severe injuries on impact. He was declared dead at a local hospital, he added. tnn
