Endangered musk deer attracts tourists from across the nation

A zoo in Himachal Pradesh’s Kufri hosts a male musk deer which is attracting tourists in large numbers. The musk deer is an endangered species according to the zoo authorities. The musk deer is one among many endangered species here. The in charge of Himalayan Nature Park said that deer is provided with a special diet and is kept under constant monitoring. He added that the deer is given special care to provide an environment close to the natural habitats of these animals to ensure their survival with natural instincts. Musk deer has been declared as an endangered species by IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature). Their numbers is diminishing because of thinning areas of habitat and breeding grounds.
