Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that Government is working on mission mode to reform education system in the country. He was addressing a youth convention at Tumakuru in Karnataka, via video conference today on 'Youth Power: A vision of New India. The convention was organised to mark the Silver Jubilee Celebration of Ramakrishna Vivekananda Ashram at Tumakuru. He noted that India with largest young population needs world class infrastructure in the education sector. In order to drive the country in this direction, RISE programme was launched by the Central Government with a funding of one lakh crore rupees to reform education system in the next four years. The Government, he stressed, has focussed on creating 20 world class educational institutions in the country. Atal Innovation Mission, he said, is another programme that converts ideas of young minds into innovations. Atal Tinkering labs that will be 2400 in number across the country in various schools will promote skill development and self-employment at a very young age among children. Government is also working towards creating conducive market for products introduced by young innovative minds. Mudra yojana, he added has created self employment to over three crore youths. Over one crore youths have benefitted of this programme in Karnataka alone. Recalling the contribution of seers and yogis towards National Integration, the Prime Minister observed that an integration of spiritual festival with youth festival in Karnataka is worth emulation in other parts of the country. He said, youth power should synergise with our heritage for overall development of the country. Bhagavan Basaveshwara and Swamy Vivekananda, he said are icons of such synergy who devoted their lives for creating a new awakening in the country. Shri Shivakumar Swamiji of Siddaganga matt, he pointed out, has led a selfless life in good of humanity. Laying emphasis on the importance of integrating north eastern regions of the country, the Prime Minster said, his government programmes and policies have focused on emotional integration of this region. He pointed out that entire country shared the happiness of this region after the election results yesterday. He said, radicalisation can only end with integration. The Vivekananda Ashram in Tumakuru had organised this event to celebrate 125th anniversary of Swamy Vivekananda’s address in Chicago as well as 150th birth anniversary of Sister Nivedita.
