The Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat hailed Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) victory in the north-eastern States of Tripura and Nagaland, saying that it is a triumph of developmental agenda being carried on by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In a message sent on the occasion, CM also attributed the twin success to the dynamic leadership of party chief Amit Shah. He said that the resounding success was thanks to the erstwhile Look East policy being changed to Act East policy at the behest of the PM.
“The long-neglected North east is now marching apace on the road of development. This is why the party which is ushering in such development is being blessed by the people. “We hope the party’s triumph would provide further fillip to development of the region,” he said.
Meanwhile, BJP activists erupted in joy at the state party office when the trends, beamed on the electronic media, confirmed that BJP was nearing a historic victory in Tripura and Nagaland. Party workers started pouring in in their hundreds at the party office and impromptu celebrations started.
The party president Ajay Bhatt and other senior party leaders joined the celebrations. Bhatt also attributed the victories in the two northeastern States to the developmental agenda being pursued by the Narendra Modi Govt and also to the inspirational leadership of the party Chief Amit Shah.
