Toll free numbers to help board exam aspirants

With just few day left for board examinations to kick start, different School Boards have come up with toll-free numbers to aid students. Emphasising on the need of removing increasing anxiety ahead of examinations while providing apt career guidance and counseling required for clarifying doubts, experts will assist students all through the exams. Any de-stressed students taking exams can call for help on the toll-free numbers.

Students taking board examination from schools affiliated to State Board, Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) can dial on 0651-2261105 or contact on 18003456523 for guidance. The toll-free service will help the students to overcome their fears, clarifying doubts related to career etc on all working days starting from 11 am to 3 pm.  

“Students suffering from stress will get valuable tips from the experts while a student who wants some advice on career fronts will also be guided. The service is dedicated to the students and will be available till the examination continues. Looking at the present scenario, this particular service of guiding students will be taken special care of, so that no technical glitches come in a way. The service will be initiated from March 5 onwards,” said JAC Chairperson, Arvind Prasad Singh.

The State Board exams (class 10 and standard 12) will commence from March 8 onwards and will continue till March 27. Similarly, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) board examinations slated from March 5 onwards has also launched a toll-free number service for supporting students in need of assistance.

CBSE State Co-coordinator and Principal, Guru Nanak Secondary High School, Dr. Manohar Lal, said, “Annually before the commencement of board examinations, the Board launches a toll-free number service for students. Besides the toll-free number service which is launched from New Delhi, through regular counseling sessions at schools as well, attempts are made to motivate students.” The students who desires to get guidance or have any query related to the CBSE board exams 2018 scheduled from March 5 till April 13 can readily contact the authorities through dialing a centralized toll free helpline number- 1800118004.

The students will be connected to the academicians for exam related queries and to counselors for stress and anxiety management related questions. Furthermore, a student in stress can also drop in their respective queries via an E-mail service    at counselling.cecbse@gmail.com.

This year, from State Capital over 20,000 students are expected to take board examinations for which all necessary arrangements have been ensured at the centers. From class 10, as many as 9,800 students will appear from Ranchi while 10,200 students will be taking class 12 board examination from the capital city.
