The government's policy think tank NITI Aayog has installed an Exicom fast charging station for electric vehicles (EV) at the organisation's office in New Delhi. Nitin Gadkari, Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Shipping and Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation said EVs can substitute imports (of crude oil) and are cost effective as well as pollution-free. Chief Executive Officer at NITI Aayog Amitabh Kant said the policy think tank is the co-ordinating agency for electric mobility in the country. The fast charging station has been installed by Exicom. Presently, Exicom is offering both off the shelf as well as customised solutions for residential and public charging for two and three-wheelers, passenger segment, and commercial vehicles. Exicom is also ready to provide charging solutions for any size project or program, from just one vehicle to public parking spaces, and ramps up to a full fleet of vehicles. Leading EV automakers have tested, approved, and partnered with Exicom.
