    Hurricanes beat Jaguares in Buenos Aires scrap

    Cape Town - The Hurricanes beat the Jaguares in a frantic Super Rugby clash in Buenos Aires on Saturday.

    The Hurricanes won 34-9 after leading 12-6 at half-time.

    The Hurricanes scored five tries through wing Ben Lam, centres Ngani Laumape and Matt Proctor, and replacements Vince Aso and Blade Thomson. Flyhalf Beauden Barrett added three conversions, while replacement pivot Jackson Garden-Bachop landed a penalty.

    The Jaguares replied with three penalties by flyhalf Nicolas Sanchez.

    The Hurricanes picked up a full-house of five points for their victory and moved to second in the New Zealand Conference and fourth in the Overall standings.

    The Jaguares left empty-handed and stayed bottom of both the South African Conference and the Overall log.

    In next weekend's Round 4 action, the Hurricanes host the Crusaders in Wellington (Saturday, March 10 at 08:35 SA time), while the Jaguares welcome the Waratahs to Buenos Aires (Saturday, March 10 at 23:40 SA time).
