District level farmer training camps in Punjab

The Punjab Government will oragnise district-level farmer training Camps and seminars this year to make farmers aware about new techniques and methods to get maximum produce and better quality of Kharif crops with less expenditure. A Government spokesperson on Saturday said such programmes and seminars would be organised in the grain markets across the State at district level to make the farmers aware about latest agro based technologies and use of only recommended pesticides and insecticides.

“Agriculture equipments and seed exhibitions would also be displayed in these camps,” he added.

The spokesperson said experts from various universities and agricultural organisations   would   provide valuable information about how to get optimum production and how to control diseases of Kharif crops.

These agriculture camps would start from March 15 from Gurdaspur. It will be held in  Jalandhar on March 16, Hoshiarpur and Pathankot  on 19, Kapurthala on 20 , Muktsar on 21, Ludhiana and Barnala on 22, Nawashehar and Mohali on 23, Ferozpur on   26, Fatehgarh Sahib and Taran Taaran on 27, Ropar on 28, Patiala and Fazilka on 29, Sangrur on 30 and Faridkot on March 31.

This would be held in Mansa and Moga on April 2, Amritsar on April 3 and   at Bathinda  April 4.
