Farmers’ registration under process till March 12

Registration of farmers is going on since February 12 under Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana in 257 krishi upaj mandis of the State for four crops including gram, mustard, onion and masoor in Rabi season 2017-18 in State.

The registration work is being undertaken in 3500 primary agriculture cooperative committees.

Free registrations will continue under Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana till March 12. So far nearly 1.60 lakh farmers have been registered on the Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana portal.

For gram crop, 1.25 farmers have got registered, 20,347 farmers for mustard, 9,593 for onion and 30,430 farmers for masoor. Principal Secretary Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Development Rajesh Rajoura issued instructions to the district collectors to make registration of crops under Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana in Rabi season more effective.

Free registration: System of free registration of farmers has been made under Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana in Rabi season. Farmers will have to submit aadhar card, Samagra ID, loan book and photocopy of bank pass book.

Madhya Pradesh State Agriculture Marketing (Mandi) Board Managing Director Faiz Ahmed Qidwai told the district collectors by launching a special campaign to make an estimate of the number of farmers at the rate of average two hectare land holding per farmer for 100 percent registration.

Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana: For the first time in Kharif 2017 in Madhya Pradesh Mukhya Mantri Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana has been implemented in the whole state.

Eight crops including soyabean, groundnuts, sesame, Ramtil, corn, moong, urad and arhar have been included under the scheme in the beginning. Now in this scheme there is provision for godown storage grant on storage of crops in licensee godown for 4 months instead of sale of crops in scheduled period for proposed better market rate.
