Petrol bombs were hurled at houses of two supporters of RK Nagar MLA TTV Dinakaran at Ramanathapuram on Saturday. TTV supporters demanded the police to file a case against IT Minister M Manikandan for inciting violence.

On Friday midnight, the houses of Kamal and Thavasi Muniyasamy was attacked with petrol bombs. No serious damages were reported except to a few electrical wires and pipes as alert neighbours doused the fire.
Though police was informed, the supporters alleged inaction by the department. Later, they collected CCTV footage of the attack and submitted it to the police. Only after getting the footage, police filed a case against four persons Adeel Ameen, Balasubramanian, Shanmuga Pandian and Thanji Suresh. However, Dinakaran’s supporters staged a protest on the station premises for seven hours demanding action against the IT Minister. Following the filing of a case, Adeel Ameen was held.
In the meantime, Minister Manikandan had refuted the charges that his supporters were involved in the incident.
