AURANGABAD: Around 1,300 answer sheets of the HSC and
SSC exams were reduced to ashes in a fire at a storage place in Kaij taluka of
Beed district on Saturday evening.
Sugatha Punne, Aurangabad division chairman of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHE), confirmed the incident.

Baliram Dhawle said the cause of the fire could not be ascertained. "After Saturday's HSC and SSC exams were over, we collected the answer sheets and kept them in the storage place, which was sealed after duty hours. The answer sheets were to be transported to the divisional headquarters by Monday."
