Mukul Sangma submits resignation to Meghalaya governor

Mukul Sangma submitted his resignation as Meghalaya chief minister to governor Ganga Prasad in Shillong. Sangma’s act comes after Congress won elections in the state by securing 21 out of 60 seats. ‘We respect the mandate of the people in the state,” he said. “BJP has only two MLAs and they just like to fire from shoulder of other parties,’ Sangma added.
