‘The Walking Dead’ Season 8 Spoilers: More Allies Die in Episode 10?
The Walking Dead Season 8 resumed with a bang last week, and episode 10 carries on that tradition in a big way. Thanks to some fresh spoilers from the experts at The Spoiling Dead Fans, we know what’s next for the Scavengers, Oceanside and a whole lot more.
Serious SPOILERS for The Walking Dead follow this break. You’ve been warned.
Let’s start with the narrative of our heroic protagonists, Rick and Michonne. After teaming up with the Scavengers in the midseason finale, Alexandria’s leaders head to the junkyard to warn Scavenger overlord, Jadis, that Negan isn’t too happy with her most recent change of allegiance. With the betrayal still fresh in his mind, Negan tells Simon to devise a plan to make her pay. Simon wants to wipe out the whole community, but Negan still sees them as a valuable resource. As such, he’d prefer to maim rather than kill.

When Simon visits the junkyard to carry out Negan’s plan, Jadis attempts to defend her decision and her community’s unique lifestyle. The Savior doesn’t fall for it, though, and he demands Jadis offer a sincere apology for her unpredictable actions. She responds sarcastically to his request, which prompts Simon to shoot two of her followers. Jadis hits Simon for what he has just done, so he decides to slaughter the entire community. Jadis is left alive in the massacre, and her chosen way to grieve is to toss the corpses of her fallen companions into a scrapped meat grinder.
The situation doesn’t get much better at Oceanside. When Enid and Aaron arrive at the camp, Cyndie elects to kill them but eventually changes her mind. She still refuses to confront the Saviors and asks the pair to leave. They do, but Aaron hangs around the area in hopes of taking one last crack at forging a meaningful alliance.
Surprisingly, Carl’s death is not a major focus of this episode. Rick reads the notes his son left for himself and Negan, and the two enemies chat about the messages over a walkie talkie. True to his dying words, Carl has asked both men to stop fighting. Rick assures Negan that will never happen, a few taunts are exchanged and the war is back on.
That’s all we know about Season 8 episode 10 so far, but you can watch it unfold March 4 on AMC.
