Bajaj Electricals R&D centre gets LEED certification

The research and development (R&D) centre, ‘AB SQUARE’ developed by Bajaj Electricals has been certified Platinum status for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) which is the highest green building standard for its design, operation and maintenance that aims to help, building owners and operators be environmentally responsible. As a strong step towards commitment for protecting the environment, Bajaj Electricals went about this process by evaluating all the parameters and got themselves rated under their LEED BD+C Ver.3-2009 Rating Program which is the highest award in this category. With the key objective of enhancing occupant comfort and well-being with optimised energy and water consumption, all these features of the project achieved 85 out of total 110 points, making it a platinum-rated building
