A 21-year-old man was stabbed to death by three persons in south Delhi’s Ambedkar Nagar on Friday afternoon, the police said adding that two persons have been arrested.
Sonu, a staffer of a beauty parlour in Greater Kailash, was stabbed nearly 25 times allegedly by Joginder, Aman, and Sagar around 3 p.m., the police said.
Victim’s brother Bunty said that both of them were on their way to buy food when the accused stopped their two-wheeler and attacked Sonu.
‘Rowdies’
“The three of them are rowdies. They attacked my brother and by the time I gathered people for help, they had already injured him and fled,” said Mr. Bunty.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Romil Baaniya said that Joginder and Aman have been arrested in connection with the case while Sagar is absconding.
“The two parties got into a fight six months ago over a personal matter. The attack is suspected to be an outcome of that,” he said.
In another incident, a 19-year-old man, Junaid, was beaten up with bricks and sticks in the same area allegedly by a couple of men. One of the accused has been identified as Saimullah, said Mr. Baaniya.
Junaid is undergoing treatment and is said to be out of danger, he added.
“The motive behind the assault is being investigated and efforts are on to arrest the accused,” he said.
