Treasure hunt rally for women

Event by The Hindu Metroplus as part of Women’s Day celebrations

The Hindu Metroplus is conducting the second edition of ‘Heels on Wheels’, an all-women treasure hunt car ride, in the city on March 11.

Being organised as part of International Women’s Day celebrations, the event will be presented by Popular Hyundai.

Cracking those codes

The contest involves cracking a set of cryptic codes to find a treasure. Each team will comprise two members — a driver and a navigator. The team will have to solve a riddle and reach a pre-determined spot to collect the next clue and proceed further.

The person behind the wheel should have a valid driving licence and both members should be aged 18 and above.

Prizes

Participants may drive any make of car. The winning team will get a cash prize of ₹20,000 and Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) fuel coupons worth ₹10,000. First and second runners-up will receive a cash prize of ₹10,000 and IOC fuel coupons worth ₹10,000 and ₹5,000 and IOC fuel coupons worth ₹10,000 respectively. All the participating teams will get IOC fuel coupons worth ₹500.

There will be no registration fee. Only 75 teams, on a first come, first served basis, will be considered for the competition.

The event will begin at 9 a.m. Reporting time will be 8 a.m. After the ride, all participants will be served a buffet lunch at Hotel Hilton Garden Inn. Selected participants will also be given an opportunity to showcase their talents and skills after the ride. The prize distribution ceremony will be at 3 p.m.
