CPM has managed to get one seat out of 20 seats earlier it use to win all the 20 seats.
Senior CPM leader Gautam Das on Saturday said assembly poll verdict in Tripura is unprecedented. Das said especially in the tribal seats which is CPM’s stronghold, the party has lost.

CPM has managed to get one seat out of 20 seats earlier it use to win all the 20 seats.

“We will go into the details of what went wrong. However the card of separate state played by opponents damaged us,” Das said.

CPM has moved Election commission alleging that counting to the Dhanpur assembly seat where Chief Minister Manik Sarkar is the candidate is being held up.

He said, “Sarkar was leading with over 5000 votes, however, without any reason counting to this seat has been stopped. We have taken up with Election commission of India the matter.”

He alleged Left Front supporters are targeted and they are beaten up.
