Governor to visit to Rameswaram tomorrow

Governor Banwarilal Purohit is paying a day’s visit to Rameswaram on March 5 to offer worship at Sri Ramanathaswamy Temple and visit the Mandapam Station of Indian Coast Guard (ICG).

According to a tentative programme, the Governor would board the Rameswaram express (train number 22661) at Egmore at 5.50 p.m. on Sunday and reach Rameswaram island at 4.50 a.m. on March 5.

After visiting the temple, the governor would visit the ICG station at Mandapam before leaving for Chennai by Rameswaram express at 9.15 p.m. on March 5. The Governor, accompanied by his wife and family members, would stay at the guest house in the island. He is likely to meet fishermen leaders during the visit, sources said.
