A host of fixtures in the Football League are off today due to the bad weather

Heavy snowfall has swept across the UK this week and caused havoc on the roads and with public transport.

With conditions still not clear, several matches up and down the country have been forced to be postponed.

All of today’s Premier League fixtures are currently set to go ahead as scheduled but the lower leagues have seen a host of cancelations.

In the Championship, Aston Villa’s clash against QPR and Wolves’ game with Reading are off.

Norwich’s trip to Barnsley, Sheffield United against Burton and Brentford v Cardiff have also been postponed.

In League One only three of the scheduled games are going ahead as planned.

MK Dons v Bristol Rovers, Scunthorpe v Oldham and Southend v Walsall are on but every other game has been postponed.

Tomorrow’s game between Blackburn and Wigan is currently fine to be played.

It’s a similar situation in League Two with just two games able to be played as it stands.

Cambridge v Luton and Carlisle v Grimsby are set to kick off as usual but it’s a no go for the rest of the fixtures.
