Joint prayers held for peace in Syria

People belonging to different faiths came together in a church in Chennai and offered prayers for return of peace in the war-torn country, Syria. They also appealed the countries involved in the civil war in Syria to stop bombarding Syria in order to end the sufferings of the people living in the country. The unrest in Syria started in 2011-12. More than 450,000 Syrians have lost their lives in the civil war so far.
