A high alert has been sounded on Telangana -Chattisgarh border following yesterday's encounter in which 10 Maoists were killed. Combing operations are still underway as police feel some of the top Maoist leaders escaped from the encounter site.
Highly placed police sources say that following intelligence information about possible retaliation attacks by Maoists, police have been put on high alert. Superintendent of Police, Bhadradri-Kothagudem District of Telangana, Ambar Kishore Jha is overseeing the arrangements.
Meanwhile, bodies of 10 Maoists who were killed in yesterday's encounter, reached Bhadrachalam area hospital for postmortem. Following court orders, the postmortem is being recorded with the two cameras. A Maoist District Committee Member, Prabhakar was identified among the dead.
