Pedestrian killed crossing road in Tullamarine

A pedestrian has died after being struck by a car while crossing a road in north-west Melbourne in the early hours of Saturday.

Victoria Police say the man, who is yet to be identified, was crossing a service lane of a busy road in Tullamarine, near Melbourne Airport, just after 2.30am when he was hit by a white Mitsubshi Lancer sedan.

He died at the scene on on Mickleham Road near Lackenheath Road.

The driver, a 21-year-old Tullamarine woman is assisting Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives with their investigation.
