The statements of Telangana chief minister come at a time when there is a talk that efforts were on in the South for formation of analternative to the BJP and Congress.
HYDERABAD: Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Saturday evening said a non-BJP & non-Congress front was in the offing, mostly before next union elections.

KCR, as he is known popularly, who spearheaded the Telangana statehood movement for over a decade to realise it, has offered to play an active role in building such a front towards 'an urgent need for qualitative change in national politics'.

Speaking to journalists on Saturday evening after TRS Parliamentary Party meeting, he didn't rule out joining hands with his arch rival and Andhra Pradesh counterpart Chandrababu Naidu towards building the alternative front, indicating interesting political equations to be unfolded in the national political landscape going forward.

"It is not third front. It will be the main front", said KCR, accusing the two national parties --- Congress and BJP --- for seven decades of failures. " There is an urgent need for a qualitative change in Indian politics."

To a question on forging alliance with Chandrababu Naidu, he said "I cannot say. I am not a foreteller".
