Panthirukulam wins short story award

Panthirukulam by V.M. Devadas has been adjudged the winner of the Karoor Neelakanda Pillai Memorial short story contest held in the run-up to Krithi - 2018.

Mr. Devadas will receive a cash prize of ₹1 lakh. Anil Devassy’s Googly Mary was selected for the second prize (₹50,000), and M.P. Pavithra’s Ninnolamilla was adjudged the third best story, with a cash prize of ₹25,000.

A jury comprising M. Thomas Mathew, Kadathanatt Narayanan, and V.S. Bindu selected the winners from 404 entries, and the announcement was made by Sahithya Pravarthaka Cooperative Society (SPCS) vice president P.V.K. Panayal.
