Missing boy found dead

An 11-year-old boy who went missing on February 28 was found dead in a drain with his throat slit on Saturday morning, the police said. The victim, a resident of Hari Nagar, was reported missing after he did not return home from school. The boy’s body was found in a drain in Mithapur near Banke Bihari Garden. His family staged a protest alleging police inefficiency . They suspect that he was sodomized before murder. Cops said that post-mortem report will confirm whether there was a sexual assault. DCP (South-East) Chinmoy Biswal said that they are questioning locals and scanning CCTV footages for further investigation.
