Land acquisition for BARC Centre reviewed

A report on the status of land acquisition for BARC Centre proposed in Achyutapuram mandal should be submitted by the end of March, District Collector Pravin Kumar has directed officials.

Around 4000 acres are required for BARC and the issues relating to land in Tantadi and Chippada should be resolved, acquisition expedited and the government rate should be decided.

Any cases pending in Lok Adalat should be resolved, he said.

Mr Pravin Kumar said he would hold a meeting with officials of the Forest Department, if any forest land was needed for the project.

BARC Joint Secretary Alexander, Reginal Director Venkataratnam, Joint Collector G. Srijana, Assistant Collector Misha Singh and APIIC In charge Zonal Manager K.S.P. Saradhi participated.
