Mistry heads panel to screen Congress candidates

The Congress has constituted a three-member committee, headed by senior party leader Madhusudan Mistry, to screen the list of party candidates for the forthcoming Assembly elections in the State.

The other members of the committee are: Tamradwaj Sahu, MP, and Gaurav Gogoi, MP.

AICC general secretary in-charge of Karnataka K.C. Venugopal, KPCC president G. Parameshwara and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah are the ex-officio members of the committee.

Congress president Rahul Gandhi constituted the committee, said a press release issued by Janardan Diwedi, general secretary, AICC.
