Resident doctors of Lok Nayak Hospital on Thursday called off their strike, which started on Tuesday following assault on two doctors by attendants of a patient.
The doctors met senior Delhi government health officials where they agreed to have 48 marshals and another 50 civil defence personnel who will be deployed at the hospital within the next seven working days. Doctors said that the department has also agreed to their other demands of having better surveillance system at the hospital and restrict entry of attendants to the treatment area and wards.
