Cohasset rang up 45 first-half points in defeating Bishop Connolly 75-60 in the first round of the Division 3 South boys' basketball playoffs on Wednesday night in Cohasset.
Thatcher Stone scored 24 of his game-high 30 points in the first half for fifth-seeded Cohasset (15-6).
For No. 12 Connolly (11-12), senior Andrew Cabral capped his career with 29 points. Austin Fernandes added 11 and center Cooper Creek (three first-quarter fouls) added 10.
Down 18 at the half, Connolly clawed back to within seven points with four minutes to to play.
"They're very tall and long, so we had a little trouble with their press early," Connolly coach Bill Shea said.

Ursuline 59, Bishop Stang 47: In Division 3 South, the ninth-seeded Spartans (13-8) endured this first-round loss to No. 8 Ursuline (14-7).
