District Collector and Special Officer, Guntur Municipal Corporation, Kona Sasidhar has asked the engineering wing to ensure all main roads are re-carpeted and central dividers erected in two months.
After conducting inspections on main roads and on UGD works along with the engineering and public health departments, Mr. Sasidhar said that all the main roads, including GT Road, Amaravathi Road, Mangalagiri Road, would soon have central lighting. Wherever UGD works have been completed, the officials should take up road laying works, he said.
The Collector inspected the ongoing works relating to laying of a culvert on Etukuru Road and asked the engineering department to make it a model road. He also took stock of UGD works on Lalpuram Road. Later, he reviewed UGD works near Fever Hospital on Amaravathi Road and interacted with the locals.
