Aims to highlight health sector initiatives

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has launched a competition for design of a logo and tagline for the Ayushman Bharat programme, announced in the 2018-19 Budget this year.

“This shall be done through a digital crowdsourcing campaign on MyGov portal. The competition, which was launched on February 19, will conclude on March 6,” noted a release.

The main aim of the competition is to generate awareness among the population about these health sector initiatives and engage them towards ownership in shaping a healthy India. The competition winner will be awarded a prize of ₹25,000, while the first runner-up will be awarded ₹10,000. The prizes will be given by the Union Health Minister in an event streamed live on MyGov and other social media portals.

The main theme of the logo is ‘Ayushman Bharat’ and the guiding principle will be sarve bhavantu sukhinah, sarve santu niramayah (may every one be happy, may every one be free from all diseases). The submission can be in the form of either a digital logo or scanned copy of a handmade submission on the digital platform. More details are available on the MyGov portal.
