NEW YORK, March 1, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The Financial Women's Association (FWA) of New York will celebrate Women's History Month through a series of events that will recognize the contributions of women in Finance and help educate and mentor the next generation of female leaders in this industry.

"Thanks to the FWA President's Circle corporate sponsors, members and mentors, over 6,000 young professionals and students have been reached by the FWA mentoring and scholarship programs in the past 30 years."
In recognition of International Women's Day, OppenheimerFunds will work with the FWA to host an event on March 8, 2018, at the National Museum of Mathematics. The event will feature sessions for FWA mentees, including a private tour of the museum. FWA members, mentees and the general public will also be able to attend a keynote presentation by Professor George Robb, author of Ladies of the Ticker: Women and Wall Street from the Gilded Age to the Great Depression.

On March 28, the FWA will hold its Annual Awards Reception and Fundraiser to honor the Private Sector Woman of the Year, Public Sector Woman of the Year, FWA Pacesetters, and FWA High School and College Mentees.
