The Jabalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry has stated that the State Budget is just an extension of Union Budget. This Budget proposed by the State is ‘copy paste’ of Union Budget which would further damage the financial system of the State.
Chairman of Jabalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Prem Dubey has named this budget as ‘Election Manifesto’. He further said that currently where the fiscal deficit is Rs26000 crores and there is a possibility that it will increase in the coming financial year. Dubey further said that State Government is already dealing with interest of roughly 1.5 lakh crores it will be very difficult to control the fiscal deficit.
Besides, Himanshu Khare Vice President of Madhya Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and senior Vice President of Jabalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry said that this budget has hammered the expectations of industry business world.
He further said that Rs855 crores is unsuitable for promotion of industry and Rs744 crores work for self employment schemes is also less but is welcoming. Khare said that the State Government had to lower the provision of various schemes for other sectors which were kept high in the Union Budget and it has not been done. He said that this Budget is prepared keeping in view the election time, which is really saddening.
