Forest Minister Jogu Ramanna on Thursday inaugurated the Post Office Passport Seva Kendra in Adilabad town. The facility will help reduce the time in obtaining a passport considerably, the Minister said. Hyderabad Regional Passport Officer Vishnuvardhan Reddy said about 30 applications for passports would be processed every day at the Seva Kendra. A speeded up police verification process would have the government delivering the passports within one week of application, he added. Adilabad Superintendent of Police Vishnu S. Warrier, Adilabad MP G. Nagesh, Collector D. Divya and Chief Post Master Chandra Shekhar also attended.
