SWANSEA — A single-car crash into the eastbound Interstate 195 median resulted in a man being transported to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Massachusetts State Police reported.
His Toyota sedan could be seen lifted from the median near the Lees River between exits 3 and 4 by a huge winch operated by Big Wheels in Freetown, state police said.
He did not know how the accident happened about 8:30 Wednesday night.
A trooper at the Dartmouth barracks said it was a single-car crash, and no other people were involved.
Traffic was backed up for about a mile while the car was lifted from the gully in the median strip, according to a witness.
