Xiaomi has opened its 25th Mi Store and the first Mi Home Experience centre in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The Experience Store is a larger version of Mi Home that brings new products that have not been launched in the country.

According to a report on Gadgets360, Manu Kumar Jain, the vice president and managing director of Xiaomi India without mentioning the numbers said that the Mi TV 4 had the biggest demand any TV product has seen in India. He also added that the Mi Home Experience Store is an opportunity to provide the best Xiaomi had to offer to Mi fans and in return get their valuable feedback.

Water purifiers, portable air purifiers, laptops, rice cookers, robot vacuum cleaners and Ninebot hoverboards are few of the products which are not launched in India, which are on display at the Mi Experience Store in Chennai.

The company has displayed the Mi TV 4 connected with PS4 so that visitors can play games on the TV. It also has a small track to spin the hoverboard.

The company is also providing a laser etching tool to customise the back of a smartphone at the experience store. The tool can be used without paying any charges but the company might charge for it later.

Jain said that the company will launch products based on how people respond to them. He also mentioned that the products like robotic vacuum cleaner is not fit for India as it only does sweeping. The company might need to add mopping to bring it in India.

The Indian head of Xiaomi also said that the company is also planning to show live demos for few of the products such as water purifier and rice cooker.

The company plans to launch 100 Mi stores in India by the end of 2018.
