CALANGUTE: A
West Bengal native was arrested by Calangute police late Wednesday night for operating a
sex racket in Candolim.

Sarkar, 27, a native of Dakshin Dinanjpur, WB, was nabbed when he arrived to deliver a woman to a decoy customer at a Candolim-based residential complex.

Jivba Dalvi said they received a tip-off about Sarkar supplying women for prostitution and had laid a trap using a decoy. The victim woman, who hails from
Gujarat, was rescued in the presence of NGO members, and has been lodged at Apna Ghar, Merces.
Police have sealed the apartment used for prostitution, and the owner has been summoned for investigations.
