State government had reviewed the annual character roll (ACR) and other service records of 43 jail officials

In order to streamline the administration and make the officials more accountable to work even after attaining the age of 50-years, the screening committee of the State government had reviewed the annual character roll (ACR) and other service records of 43 jail officials and finally gave forced retirement to two of them. The action was taken by the principal secretary (Home) Arvind Kumar, on Wednesday. 

According to an official communiqué of the Home Department released by Kumar on Wednesday morning, in order to make the officials more efficient, they had reviewed the ACR and other service records of 43 jail officials and found Senior Jail Superintendent, Shiv Prakash Yadav, and Jail Superintendent, Ram Kumar Tripathi to be unfit to remain in the job. He said that on February 3, the report was send to government and finally on Wednesday, both the officers were given compulsory retirement. 

Meanwhile director general of police, OP Singh, also terminated the services of two policemen recently found involved in illegal mining. According to an official communiqué of the DGP office, OP Singh, on Wednesday terminated the services of Sub-Inspector, Vivek Pratap Singh and constable Devrishi Yadav.  It may be mentioned that on the night of January 26, DGP sent two of the officers of superintendent of police level to Banda to verify the complaint that station officer of Girwa, Vivek Pratap Singh and constable Devrishi were facilitating illegal mining. After finding the information prime facie true, DGP suspended both the policemen and ordered a probe by DIG of Chitrakut. Finally on the report submitted in this regard, DGP terminated the services of both the policemen on Wednesday.
