Jajpur Road Tehsildar hurt in attack
Six persons, including three women, were arrested on Wednesday on the charge of attacking and injuring Jajpur Road Tehsidar Sapan Kumar Nanda and his staffs when the officials were trying to seize a stone-laden truck at Mundamala. The Tehsildar was attacked by all the six arrested persons Babaji Mallick (42), Raja Das (32), Manjulata Jena (45), Debaki Mallick (63), Kabita Mallick (30) and Prasan Mallick (18). Babaji Mallick and others were transporting stones by the truck at Mundamala village under the Jajpur Road police station when the officers stopped the vehicle on suspicion on the day, said Jajpur Road PS IIC Amitav Mohapatra. The six accused were booked under Sections 332, 333, 307, 341 and 325 of IPC and produced in the court of Jajpur Road.
