Rural Balangir growth experiences shared
With a view to sharing its experience and achievements in ensuring development 37 villages in Balangir district, through strengthening institution at village level, ensuring food, nutrition and water security and enhancing income of villages and other steps, a workshop was held here by the Reliance Foundation.
Attended by different Government officials, including Watershed, Horticulture and Agriculture departments, besides villagers’ representatives and members of Farmers Producers Company, and media, the experience of Reliance Foundation since2012 was shared in the meeting by its Programme Integrator, Eastern Region Ambika Prasad Mohanty.
By next month, a total of six villages would achieve water security, it was disclosed in the workshop. Once you have water security, you can enhance your agriculture production and go for other activity, it was stated.
