If you wish to port your Aircel number to Reliance Jio as Aircel has filed for bankruptcy, do the following:
1. First send an SMS PORT followed by your mobile number to 1900. It will be like PORT xxxxxxxxxx.
2. You will get a Unique Porting Code.
3. Download MyJio app from Play Store or App Store and generate Jio coupon code
4. Walk in to a Jio store or Reliance Digital / Dx Mini store or any Jio retailer with the UPC (Unique porting code) and your Jio coupon code along with the handset
5. Don't forget to carry your Aadhaar Card and a photograph. Jio will activate the connection through eKYC process.
It may take a week for the connection to get activated. If you still have the Aircel network signal in your mobile, wait till the signal stops. Then insert the Reliance Jio SIM and follow the instructions. You may have to call a particular number for the SIM to get activated.
