WaSH can work

more-in

For any change to be effective, it has to be internalised by people in letter and spirit. It is no different in the case of open defecation. Investing in the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WaSH) strategy will go a long way in establishing the foundation of a healthy generation. If Bangladesh can achieve results, so can India (“Don’t discount WaSH”, February 27). What is required is a new WASH — the Will, Action, Sustained support (financial and institutional) and Hard work of all stakeholders.
