The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has come under fire from one of its members Nadim Memon for organising the T20 Mumbai League despite the two-year term of the elected body well overdue by almost a year now.

In a letter addressed to MCA, the Committee of Administrators (CoA) and the BCCI yesterday, Memon has urged MCA to call off the T20 League and immediately hold its election.

In his letter, Memon writes: "As per MCA's official website, there are six office-bearers and nine Managing Committee members. It may not be out of place to mention that in view of disqualifications prescribed under the Lodha Committee report, out of the six office-bearers, four suffer disqualifications. Whereas out of the nine Managing Committee members, seven suffer from prescribed disqualifications. Resultantly, the combined strength of the office-bearers and the Managing Committee members has fallen down to a mere four members. The requisite quorum required to transact any business is eight members. The MCA is in clear contravention of the constitution and in violation of the Lodha Committee report."
