Senior leader highlights failures of the TRS government

Senior Congress leader and former chief whip Gandra Venkataramana Reddy asked Chief Minister KCR to refrain from using abusive language and spreading lies against Opposition leaders .

The Chief Minister seems to be desperate out of fear of losing the next general elections. He thinks he has the right to abuse anybody, but when somebody questions his policies, he threatens to book a criminal case.

The Congress leader said the Chief Minister, during his recent tours and public meetings, criticised the Congress stating that it was good for nothing. Mr. KCR should remember that he did nothing in the last four years in power but the Congress constructed every irrigation project – SRSP, Nagarjunasagar, Devadula. The Chief Minister, who failed to respond to the death of farmers or even to ensure Minimum Support Price (MSP) was now giving lectures to farmers, promising them utopia.

“The farmers are vexed with the cheap gimmicks of Mr. KCR and are waiting for an opportunity to teach him a fitting lesson,” Mr. Ramana Reddy said.

It was the Congress party that introduced RTI, MNREGS, constructed NTPC and immensely contributed to nation-building.

“Let Mr. KCR tell what happened to his promises made to the SCCL employees – compensatory employment, ban on open cast mining, ₹10 lakh interest-free loan and so on. Not a single promise is delivered and again he is out to hoodwink the employees,” the Congress leader said.

‘Appeasing leaders’

The much talked Rythu Samithis were nothing but rehabilitation centres to appease the disgruntled TRS leaders, he said, adding that people were vexed with both the TRS and BJP ruling as they have proved to be a burden on them.

“Mr. KCR and his talk manifest his frustration and the fear of losing power. He is under the impression that he can cast a spell with his speeches but people know his rhetoric, and it had lost its magic long ago,” Mr. Ramana Reddy said.

Former MLA Podem Veeraiah and other leaders were present.
