NBCC’s housing project
The National Buildings Construction Corporations (NBCC), a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance on February 23, 2018 for construction of high-end residential accommodation for Indian Economic Service (IES) officers. Presided over by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, the MoU was signed by Executive Director (Business Development), NBCC Yogesh JP Sharma, and Director, Department of Economic Affairs, Archana Mayaram. The project, on a 3,519 sq m plot, along the Deen Dayal Upadhaya Marg, New Delhi, will incorporate all modern facilities, offering a healthy and holistic lifestyle.
Vice-Chancellor of KARE, Dr S Saravana Sankar, presided over the National Productivity week celebrations 2018 on the theme, “Industry 4.0, A Leapfrog Opportunity.” Dr R Thiruvengada Swamy, Director CCE, welcomed the gathering.
ICFAI screens fresh batch
The ICFAI Business School (IBS) follows a unique selection process for over 20 years for admission into nine ICFAI Business School (IBS) Campuses (IBS Ahmedabad, IBS Bangalore, IBS Dehradun, IBS Gurgaon, IBS Hyderabad, IBS Jaipur, IBS Kolkata, IBS Mumbai and IBS Pune).
About 35,000 candidates have appeared for the test and 25,000 have qualified for the selection process this year. The qualified candidates were invited to attend the selection process at IFHE (ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education), Deemed-to-be-University, Hyderabad between February 20 and 26.
This year too, in the intervening period, selection briefings were conducted at 90 locations all over India wherein candidates qualified in IBSAT were invited along with their parents to provide them complete information pertaining to the selection.
NTPC awarded for financial excellence
The National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC), the largest power utility of the country, has been awarded for Overall Best Financial Performance at the fifth PSU Awards ceremony held in Delhi. KP Gupta, ED, Finance, Law and Company Secretary and Aditya Dar, General Manager (Finance), received the award.
The National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC) was conferred with the “ET Now—CSR Leadership Award” at the Green Future Leadership awards held in Mumbai on February 18. Acknowledging its CSR initiatives in activities like health care and medical assistance to specifically-abled and other weaker sections of the society, education, safe drinking water, women empowerment, skill development, environment sustainability, NSIC follows best corporate social responsibility practices in the country.
